Information and advice

Character with information thought bubble

The Carers’ Information Service provides information and advice on all aspects of being a carer in Croydon. If you are caring for someone in a different borough, find your local carers group (opens as external website).

Publications

Our series of factsheets, How To… A Guide for Carers in Croydon, tells you everything you need to know as a carer in Croydon. This series of 11 factsheets is available to download from our website or you can order paper copies from the Carers’ Information Service by contacting us.

Speak to us

If you have a question about caring or you just want to talk, you can:

When you call or visit the centre, our advice workers will try to help you with any questions or concern you have around caring. If we are not the best organisation to help you, we will try to direct you to organisations who can help.

Please be aware that the line can get busy at times and we may not always be able to answer you straight away. If you can’t get through, leave a message with your name and phone number and we will call you back as soon as we can. Try to speak as clearly as possible when leaving a message.

Casework

As well as general information and advice, we provide a casework service for carers with more complex cases, offering in-depth support and advocacy such as liaising with professionals and attending meetings. Email enquiries@carersinfo.org.uk or call 020 8649 9339, option 1 for more information.
