New support service for bereaved carers launches at the Carers Support Centre

A new bereavement support service to help unpaid carers and former carers struggling with grief and loss is launching at the Carers Support Centre.

Based on a programme developed by St Christopher’s Hospice, the “Learning from Loss” group will help carers and former carers share experiences, explore their emotions and discover ways of coping and finding strength.

The group is open to current and former carers of a Croydon resident, who have experienced a bereavement at least four to six months prior to starting our sessions.

Sessions will be facilitated by a qualified and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered counsellor.

Sessions run for seven consecutive weeks, 10.30am - 12noon, from Friday 5 October to Friday 16 November 2018 on the first floor at the Carers Support Centre.

If you would like to take part in the group, please call Tanya on 020 8649 6280 or email tanyafitzgerald@carersinfo.org.uk.
