What's on at the Carers Support Centre this December
It's beginning to look a little bit like Christmas, so we will be having Christmas @ Carers Cafe all week from 17 - 21 December. Croydon Carers Choir will host their Christmas Party on Wednesday 19 December, 10.30am-11.45am. All are welcome and there will be a Christmas cuppa afterwards!
That being said, we know that Christmas and other festivals can be a real challenge when you're caring for someone. If you need some help getting through the festive season, read these tips from our trainer. If your finances are worrying you, read our Money Matters factsheet or contact us for help.
As well as Christmas-themed events, we also have our EHCP Annual Reviews Workshop on Tuesday 11 December. Our advice worker and EHCP expert Astrid Macabee will lead this workshop on the EHCP review process and how you can prepare. This event is free for Croydon carers but booking is required. To book your free place, call 020 8663 5674 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you attend a regular event at the Carers Support Centre, please double-check this month's What's On timetable, as some activities and support groups take a break during December. Please also be aware that the Carers Support Centre will be closed from Monday 24 December and reopen on Wednesday 2 January 2019.
Last but not least, don't forgot to stay well wrapped up! Check out our article on cutting down on heating bills and keeping toasty in the winter season.
We wish you all a pleasant winter season.
