Carers Advice and Assessment Workers



Join our friendly and dynamic team to deliver a new Carer’s Assessment Service, providing high quality assessments and advice to unpaid carers in Croydon.

The Carers Information Service is part of The Whitgift Foundation and runs the Carers Support Centre in central Croydon, the one-stop shop for carers in the borough. We have an exciting opportunity for three new members of staff to join our team and help us deliver the borough’s new Carer’s Assessment Service, in partnership with Croydon Council and Croydon Mencap. You’ll provide statutory Carer’s Assessments, as well as advice, information and casework support to carers, both in person and over the phone. You’ll receive full training to support you in your role.

We are recruiting for the following posts:

- Carers Advice and Assessment Worker (full-time), two posts, c £25k.

- Carers Advice Worker (part-time), one post, c £21k for 21 hours.

The successful candidates will be experienced and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and a good understanding of the issues facing carers.
